The bookshelf is a modular system compiled of single identical boxes. The proportions of a box are set that two long sides are matching three short sides. That way they can be stacked on each other vertically or horizontally to fit books of all sizes. The depth is big enough to place and access books from both sides. Thus it serves as a room divider which was the basic idea as a setting in an opening of an unused extra door.
